Dr. Sean Lavin

Founder and CEO, Alpha Lavin Advisors, Miami, USA

Dr. Lavin is the founder of Alpha Lavin Advisors, a firm focused on helping medical technology, diagnostic, and digital health companies access capital in a cost effective and time sensitive manner. The firm also provides M&A or other strategic advice. Previously, Dr. Lavin began his career as an equity research analyst at Oppenheimer and Co in 2006, then transitioned to Lazard Capital Markets, before helping build the healthcare group at BTIG. Over the past 16 years, Sean has supplied some of the most sought after research ideas and advice on medical devices and diagnostics to approximately 1000 institutional investment funds. He covered approximately fifty public companies while at his previous firms and helped BTIG be involved in raising ~$25B in new capital for healthcare companies from 2013 to 2019. Sean is a physician by training. Mr. Hamid Jafar

Mr. Hamid Dhiya Jafar is Chairman of the Board of the Crescent Group of Companies, headquartered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Abdullah Al Ansari

Dr Ricardo Estape

Dr. Nadine Hachach-Haram

Dr. Hachach-Haram is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Proximie, Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Director of Clinical Innovation & Strategic Partnerships at Guy’s + St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK. Growing up in post-war Lebanon was a formative experience, shaping her future career not just as a surgeon, but as an entrepreneur. Her initial motivation to help people grew into a wider goal to help bring safe surgery to the world. She created Proximie – a software platform that captures data and generates new insights to improve patient outcomes and OR productivity. Dr. Hachach- Haram is the recipient of the British Empire Medal in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours, and has been selected as an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur, and an Endeavor Entrepreneur. She is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons’ Commission on the Future of Surgery, consisting of some of the UK’s leading doctors, engineers, data experts, managers, and patient representatives, with the objective to investigate the advances that will transform surgery over the next 20 years, and is faculty at Singularity, and Exponential Medicine.

Dr. Todd Wilson

Dr. Wilson is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas in Houston where he focuses on the practice, training and innovation of robotic, laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures and surgeries. He has numerous publications and participated in many FDA IDE trials and is the Chief Medical Officer at EndoQuest Robotics. Dr. Todd graduated from the United States Naval Academy and then served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy for six years. He left the Navy as one of the highest decorated officers in his year group to pursue a career in medicine. Dr Santiago Horgan

Dr. Horgan, is an internationally recognized expert in esophageal disease, weight-loss surgery, minimally invasive surgery and new technologies and approaches for surgery. Mr. Kurt Azarbarzin

Kurt Azarbarzin is a 39-year medtech industry veteran, having led the development of over 90 new products representing over $910 million of annual sales at companies including U.S. Surgical, Tyco Healthcare (now Medtronic), Spine Wave, Respimetrix, SurgiQuest, Verb Surgical, and J&J. He has experience in the surgical, robotic, cardiovascular, interventional, orthopedic and urological markets. Kurt founded SurgiQuest in 2005 and sold it to CONMED, whose lead technology AirSeal became the standard of care for advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He then became CEO of Verb Surgical (a joint venture between Google and J&J) consisting of over 550 employees, that was acquired by J&J in January 2020. After that, Kurt became and is currently the CEO of EndoQuest Robotics, which is developing the first endoluminal robotic surgical platform in the world, designed to enable scar-free surgery through the body’s natural orifices.

Dr. Christopher Thompson
